What is Beaverworx?
Beaverworx is Team 2609 of the FIRST Robotics Competition based at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic High School in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
Since 2008, Beaverworx has been dedicated to spreading the message of FIRST. We provide opportunities for students to learn skills in engineering, math and computer science, compete in exciting robotics competitions, and most importantly have fun with each and every step.
Founded in 1989, FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an international nonprofit organization that elevates young people to become science and technology leaders. The organization's mission is to inspire students through hands-on programs that challenge them to be innovative, take risks, work as a team, serve their community, think critically, communicate effectively and solve complex problems. Today it has evolved into a phenomenon that reaches all corners of the world giving opportunities to countless students and future leaders.
